I'm Cheering For UD!

On Sunday, Debra was invited to watch the Flyers play from the comfort of the box seats in Boesch Lounge! Luckily for Suki and I, she was actually given two tickets!

Mama Keri went hog wild and bought a cheerleader outfit for Suki to wear. Of course, being the Flyer faithful that we are, we simply couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures while we were there.

Unfortunately, Suki's attention span is pretty limited when it comes to basketball, so we only wound up staying an hour and a half. At that point, she'd decided she'd had enough an was bent on crawling all over Boesch Lounge - so we decided to pack it up and call it for UD. (We were right, by the way...)

Here's a picture or two of Suki at the game...cheering!

Happy 1st Birthday, Suki!

Happy First Birthday!

Today was Suki's first birthday! And we all celebrated with cake, althought I don't believe that anyone was more excited about the cake than Suki.

The first thing we did this morning was to turn her car seat around so she's now facing forward. It seemed to throw her for a bit of a loop this morning when we went to Meijer's to pick up some food for the party (and Thanksgiving...after all, why make two trips when you can make one really long one?). We saw a little of Suki's straight arms (her typical reaction when around new people or unfamiliar places) on the way there, but she seemed much more relaxed on the way home.

Just to share the fun for all of you that couldn't come to the party, we've uploaded a slew of photos to our Flickr account. And even more exciting is the video of Suki eating her first cake we've posted to our Photobucket account.

Here's the video directly from our Photobucket account:

Here's some of the pictures - just click any one of them to all of them on Flickr.

Suki blowing out her one candle...ok, we helped.
Suki Getting Ready To Blow Out Her First Candle

We initially cut a couple of small pieces for her...just to get her started. Oh boy, did we get her started...
Can I Fit This Whole Piece In My Mouth?

I guess it could have been messier...maybe.
Ooooo...I Don't Feel So Good. Wait...Yes I Do! More Cake!

Like I said, there are more...many, many more...just visit our Flickr site to see them all!

Hmmm...What Do I Do With This Thing?

Suki's Great Aunt Becky & Great Uncle Bill sent her a present! We're not sure if Suki's quite figured out what it is, but she's loving playing with it! Given the fact that she was dressed up in pink today (ok, honestly, there aren't many days she isn't...) we thought it would be fun to snap a few pictures of her playing with her new pink stool! (I know, I know...as if we needed an excuse...)

Little did we know as we were snapping pictures that Suki would stand up on her own while we were snapping away! Unfortunately, this pic is the only one that caught it. (Just to reassure everyone out there in the interweb - we did not, I repeat, did not chop off the top of our daughter's head on purpose...we were just a little over-excited while trying to capture the moment!)

And one of her with Poppa, just cause he's writing this post....

Finally, A civilized place to eat!

At school Suki continually surprises us by sitting at a table for her meals and neatly choosing her items from a plate and eating them. Never does she toss her food on the floor for fun or dump the plate all over the table... .At home in the high chair... it is a whole different scene. We picked up a table and chairs at a garage sale for ten bucks and she loves loves loves it.

Um, when is our waitress coming?

I Don't Recall Approving Any Time Change!
